Taita Taveta University will hold its 9th graduation ceremony on Friday 13 November 2026, starting at 8:00am, at the University Sports Pavilion on the Main Campus.

The announcement, from the Office of the Registrar (Academic, Research and Outreach), covers students who qualified for the conferment of degrees and the award of diplomas and certificates at the end of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The deadlines in that announcement have now passed: only graduands who had completed paying fees due to the university by Saturday 24 October 2026 were eligible to graduate; the deadline for payment of graduation and alumni fees was Friday 6 November 2026 — note that this date falls after this draft was written, so it is stated as a scheduled deadline, not as met or missed. The final graduation list was to be posted on the university website by Monday 26 October 2026, and name corrections were due by Thursday 15 October. Names and registration numbers from the list must not be reproduced.

Separately, the university partnered with the Taita Taveta County Government and tourism stakeholders on a fundraising initiative targeting more than KSh 5 million for needy students joining universities and TVETs, Sifa FM reported in mid-October. The Dean of the School of Mines and Engineering, Dr Nashon Juma Adero, represented the Vice Chancellor at the fundraising event. The amount raised has not been verified.
