Kisii University has a new student leadership team. The Kisii University Students Association (KSUSA) Executive Council was sworn in this week, Education News reported on 27 October 2026.

The reported line-up: Chairperson Aden Moge Ifrah, Vice Chairperson Fabian Kipkoech, Secretary General Eugine Omanga, Academic Secretary Mitchelle Juma, Sports and Entertainment Secretary Brian Ouma, Treasurer Peter Marwa, and Speaker Sherine Kwamboka Omae.

The swearing-in follows congress elections earlier in October in which the winners' list was all male, a point that raised gender questions in reporting on 12 October. The Executive Council list above is stated exactly as Education News reported it.

Separately, the university stated on its Facebook page on 15 October that its 16th graduation date, 17 December 2026, was unadjusted. That date is stated here only as the university's stated position on 15 October; no later change has been verified either way.

Gusii Innovation Week ran at Kisii University from 26 to 30 October, according to a university Facebook post dated 14 October. Its outcome has not been verified and is not claimed here.

What we could not verify: the swearing-in ceremony's exact date and venue beyond the university's 30 October post; any statement from the new council; whether the 17 December graduation date still stands after the strike; the outcome of Gusii Innovation Week; any Kisii-specific resumption notice dated 29–31 October.
