Africa Nazarene University sent two student teams to the CyberWeek Africa 2026 finals — and both earned their places the hard way.
The teams qualified for the Capture The Flag finals under the Rift Valley Region after an online pre-qualification round held on 3–4 October, the university announced on its news listings on 26 October. The finals were scheduled for 29 October at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi — the same event at which Huawei certified young Kenyans in cybersecurity, covered in live article 26.
On the pitch, the ANU Interfaculty Football Tournament brought together students from all schools on 27 October, organised by the Student Council, according to the university's listings. The School of Law finished first, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences second, and the School of Science and Technology third.
The university's listings also record an International Students-Led Chapel Service on 29 October, hosted by the International Students Association, with Rev. Dr. Kunene speaking; and a visit by Interim Vice Chancellor Prof. Corlis McGee to Green Garden Schools' graduation ceremonies at the Main Campus in Kikuyu and the Purple Campus in Rongai. Mass Communication students also took part in a workshop facilitated by Alena Berry, a National Geographic producer, according to the same listings — the date and detail of that workshop were not stated in the text seen.
