Three members of Daystar University's Falcons men's handball team represented Kenya at the 33rd African Youth and Junior Championship in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from 3–13 September 2026.
Falcons coach Martin Kamau was part of a three-member technical bench, and players Brandon Barasa and Samuel Joseph Mwendwa joined the Kenya national Under-20 squad.
Kenya recorded two victories and two defeats, beating Benin and hosts Côte d'Ivoire and losing to Libya and Tunisia.
"Growing through to this level has not been easy, but all the glory goes to God. Such levels teach us more than what we offer," Kamau said.
Barasa had earlier represented Kenya's Under-20 side at the IHF Zone Five Trophy in Addis Ababa, alongside Moses Munasi and John Daniel Hongo, where Kenya finished third and qualified for Abidjan. Kamau earned his maiden national-team call-up for that campaign.
