Mount Kenya University has uploaded a revised version of its 30th graduation list, but graduands say names are still missing from it with days to go before the financial clearance deadline.

The university announced the updated list on its official Facebook page on Friday 7 November 2026, saying a new version of the 30th Graduation List had been uploaded, dated 7 November, and shared a link to access it. The post added that the institution is still actively reviewing graduation-related enquiries and concerns raised by graduands.

In the comments under the post, graduates report being cleared by their departments and having paid their fees, yet remaining absent from the newly published list, and ask for urgent explanations. Repeated comments demand "#release our results", and some call for occupation protests. Others complain about being unable to access the student portal and download transcripts, linking the problems to missing marks.

The 30th graduation ceremony is set for Friday 4 December 2026 at the Graduation Pavilion, Happy Valley Ground, along Garissa Road in Thika, starting at 9:00 a.m., under the theme "Inter-generational Dialogue for National Cohesion and Democracy".

The deadline for verifying and correcting names on the graduation list was Wednesday 5 November 2026. Financial clearance must be completed by Monday 10 November, and academic gowns will be issued from 23 November to 2 December 2026. A mandatory rehearsal will be held on Thursday 3 December at 9:00 a.m. at the same venue.

Mount Kenya University is not the only institution facing graduation-list complaints this season. Ahead of their graduation on Saturday 7 November, around 1,000 graduands at Kenya Methodist University said they had been left off the list despite clearance, a story Campus Pulse reported earlier this week.
